Daily Inspection & Maintenance Tips for Kobelco CK1600 Track Shoes
1. Carry out a visual inspection before every task
Inspect the track shoes prior to each equipment operation. Check for cracks on track shoes, and see if bolt positions show deformation or looseness. Meanwhile, watch out for severe scratches and gaps along track shoe edges. When operating on gravel and rocky sites, damage on the corners will keep expanding and shorten service life.
2 Cleaning and Inspection After Work
Once equipment finishes each operation, clear away stones and gravel trapped between track shoes and the gaps separating track shoes and chain links in a timely manner. Long-term build-up of hard debris will bring extra wear to track shoes during machine movement and shorten their service life.
3 Common Fault Warning Signs
If continuous noise or intermittent track deviation occurs during travel, apart from checking idlers and rollers, inspect track plates for uneven surfaces or local deformation. When multiple track plates wear rapidly at the same time, assess the site conditions and adjust travelling operations to slow down wear.
