Manufacturing Procedures for Hitachi KH1000 Idlers
1 Mold Design & Sand Mold Manufacturing
Our Hitachi KH1000 idlers are fully developed based on Hitachi’s original factory drawings. Our engineers utilize professional CAD software to deliver a full set of precision designs. Thanks to this rigorous design workflow, these products stand out with prominent strengths in digital modeling and sand mold casting.
2 Premium Raw Material Screening & High-Temp Casting
We source different premium steel grades for crawler cranes of different tonnages. We select raw materials based on load demands and working conditions to deliver durable, cost-effective undercarriage parts.
Our mature sand casting produces high-quality castings with minimal pores and sand inclusions and uniform internal structures. Strict control from raw material to casting extends part lifespan and lowers clients’ replacement costs.
3 Dual heat treatment & Core Quality Indicators Testing
All of our products undergo a dual heat treatment process of quenching and tempering. At the same time, we will conduct testing on various core indicators of undercarriage parts, including hardness, toughness, impact resistance, and internal structure, after the heat treatment process. To ensure that our heat treatment can achieve good results.

4 Polishing to Clear Extra Milling Risers
Once heat treatment and rough machining are finished, we proceed to precision milling to refine each component further. We grind away all extra burrs and uneven edges left on the part surface, so every workpiece achieves a sleek smooth finish with neat appearance.
5 Surface Quenching
We conduct independent surface quenching on easily worn areas of each part. This process greatly boosts surface hardness as well as wear and impact resistance, while maintaining great internal toughness to avoid full breakage and greatly lengthen the service lifespan of our undercarriage parts.

6 Painting & Surface Hardness Test
In the final step, we spray paint all crawler crane undercarriage parts and carry out surface hardness inspection, verifying that the surface quenching process delivers reliable performance as required.
