Production Process of Link-belt LS138H Track Plate

The processing of Link-belt LS138H track pads involves multiple processing steps such as molding, casting, grinding and milling, heat treatment, and painting.

Our technicians will use CAD software to design the model based on the Link-belt original factory drawings. Then, based on the track shoe drawing, calculate the shrinkage allowance and plan the layout of the cavity, riser, and runner. Perform CNC machining on the mold cavity and bolt hole core, grind the cavity and assemble the mold. Conduct trial casting for samples, adjust the mold against dimensional defects, and put it into production after passing inspection.

Melt the 28CrMnMo alloy at high temperature and pour it into the mold, waiting for it to form. After casting cooling, we mill off gate and riser leftovers with milling machines to trim surfaces for accurate fitting.

Then comes the critical heat treatment: quenching & tempering plus surface hardening for tough core and wear-resistant surface. Many manufacturers skip heat treatment to cut costs. Prioritizing product quality, we apply full heat treatment to every batch of track pads without exception.

Finally, the product undergoes precision machining and painting treatment to achieve more accurate dimensions and beautiful appearance.

Besides, all finished products go through strict inspection. We guarantee all dimensions comply with OEM standards and its hardness, toughness and wear resistance meet client requirements before shipment arrangement.
